Annabelle Gurwitch

Annabelle Gurwitch has been a hostess on television and films for the past ten years. She has hosted Dinner and a Movie, as well as an active activist on secular and environmental issues. Annabelle Gurwitch a New York Times best-selling writer, actress and critic of her autobiography, Wherever You Go There They Are: I See you Made an Effort. Then you say Tomato. I say Shutup and Fired. It also appeared in an episode of a Showtime Comedy Special. Gurwitch has been a long-time host of TBS Dinner & a Movie. Her most memorable TV appearances include Better Things Boston Legal Seinfeld Dexter Murphy Brown and as well as hosting WA$TED, a sustainability show that airs on The Planet Green Network. Her appearances are regularly in PBS Newhour Real Time with Bill Maher and on NPR in addition to writing op-eds for New York Times WSJ The Hollywood Reporter and satire for The New Yorker and McSweeeneys. Her work as an actress on stage has secured her inclusion in the annual critics Best Ten Performances of the Year for each of The New York and Los Angeles Times. Annabelle is a wise woman who shares her insights on aging and how to laugh at it in our youth-driven society. Professor Gurwitch has given talks and lectures on her lecture series at the George Washington University Watermark Conference for Women as well as centers for performing arts as well as literary festivals.
